Using Blender as an image editor is really good!

Image 2: Selectors to toggle between "slow but final" and "quick but preview" images and paths

Image 3: An output system two quickly toggle & split FX on/off, output files, etc...

That first part, toggling between high-res and low-res images has completely upgraded my workflow

Before this I had two GIMP projects open, one low-res, the other high-res. I'd do colour correction and tweaks on the low-res version, taking notes, and then switch to the high-res and replay my steps, watching my computer churn away slowly applying filters as I added each step


Now I can work away, tweaking colours (non-destructively, might I add), and then just toggle to high-res when I want to export
